Organo-metal halide perovskites are promising semiconductor materials for active layers applied to opto-electronics, e.g. photovoltaic cells. Here authors show how the initial solution composition affects the formation of perovskite thin films, and propose a typology to distinguish the growth direction of perovskite crystals.
