The mechanisms underlying how colorectal cancer (CRC) cells utilize lipids to suppress anti-tumor immunity remain unclear. Here, the authors show that tumor cell-intrinsic ATP6V0A1 drives RABGEF1-dependent cholesterol absorption and thus triggers paracrine TGF-β1/SMAD3 signaling to inactive memory CD8+ T cells in CRC.
