Dinuclear gold complexes have fundamentally expanded catalytic possibilities beyond that of the mononuclear systems. Here the authors report a bidentate mixed-ligand system that can catalyze efficient three-component carbonylative amidation of unactivated alkyl bromides with amines and CO under mild conditions.
