Li et al. evaluate the prognostic value of following-up cholinesterase (ChE) in postoperative surveillance of human cancers based on serial ChE measurements in retrospective longitudinal cohorts. The results confirm that perioperative and longitudinal dynamic changes of ChE are independent prognostic factors of human cancers, improving the prognosis risk stratification of cancer patients.
