Disruption of TIGAR-TAK1 alleviates immunopathology in a murine model of sepsis

Macrophage TP53-induced glycolysis and apoptosis regulator (TIGAR) is implicated in a range of immunopathology. Here the authors show TIGAR drives inflammation and sepsis via activation of TAK1 and that disruption of TIGAR-TAK1 interaction in a murine model of sepsis reduces immunopathology.

First-line sugemalimab with chemotherapy for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: a randomized phase 3 study

In a prespecified interim analysis of the phase 3 trial GEMSTONE-304, anti-PD-L1 with chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone led to significantly prolonged progression-free survival and overall survival of patients with unresectable, locally advanced, recurrent or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

Super-saturated complementary carbon nanotube transistors with intrinsic gain singularities

Transistor scaling degrades intrinsic gain, challenging analog circuit design. The authors fabricated carbon nanotube thin-film transistors with gate-modulated negative differential resistance, achieving high and variable intrinsic gain, even at deep-submicron scales.

Hypoxia-induced downregulation of PGK1 crotonylation promotes tumorigenesis by coordinating glycolysis and the TCA cycle

The functional relevance of lysine crotonylation in cancer remains to be further explored. Here, the authors show that hypoxia-induced downregulation of PGK1 lysine crotonylation promotes glycolysis and suppresses mitochondrial pyruvate metabolism, contributing to breast cancer progression.

Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IV promotes imiquimod-induced psoriatic inflammation via macrophages and keratinocytes in mice

Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IV (CaMK4) has been shown to be involved in autoimmunity but it is not clear how it functions in psoriasis. Here the authors show that CaMK4 is increased in psoriasis and promotes inflammatory responses in mouse models of psoriasis mediated through macrophages and keratinocytes.
