Defect-induced triple synergistic modulation in copper for superior electrochemical ammonia production across broad nitrate concentrations

Converting nitrate to ammonia in wastewater with a wide range of nitrate concentrations remains a challenging task. Here the authors report defect-rich Cu nanowire electrocatalyst which can achieve 50 to 1100 mA cm⁻² and over 90% Faradaic efficiency using 1–100 mM nitrate wastewater.

PRC2 specifies ectoderm lineages and maintains pluripotency in primed but not naïve ESCs

Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) plays an essential role in development by modifying chromatin but what this means at a cellular level is unclear. Forecasting rice latitude adaptation through a daylength-sensing-based environment adaptation simulator

Breeding crop cultivars with better environmental adaptability could support crop yield stability to mitigate the effects of climate change. JMJD3 and UTX determine fidelity and lineage specification of human neural progenitor cells

Neurogenesis is an ordered transition from pluriptotent cells to neural precursor cells (NPCs) to neurons. Here the authors show that loss of the lysine demethylases JMJD3 and UTX leads reduced DNA accessibility at neurogenesis loci in human NPCs, and that the chromatin remodeller BAF can rescue differentiation defects.
