Silencing of BRD7 increases CHK1 levels but not CHK2. Cells transfected with siRNA targeting BRD7 (siBRD7) or scrambled control siRNA (siCtrl) were harvested at 48 h, followed by immunoblotting (IB) with the indicated antibodies (A) or quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) analysis (B). C BRD7 regulates the transcription of CHK1 in a p53-independent manner. HCT116 and U2OS cells with or without p53 deletion were transfected with siBRD7 or siCtrl for 48 h, followed by RT-qPCR analysis or IB with the indicated antibodies.
