Cotransfection with miR-6798-3p mimic abrogated Ars2 depletion-mediated apoptosis in glioblastoma cells. shCon and shArs2 cells were cotransfected with miRNA-6798-3p mimic (50 nM) and scrambled control (Scr-Con, 50 nM). (A) Relative miRNA-6798-3p levels were determined by qRT-PCR analysis. (B,C) Cells were stained with Annexin V/PI, and the percentage of apoptotic cells was determined using flow cytometry. The values obtained from annexin V assays represent the means ± SD for three separate experiments. Statistical analysis was evaluated by Student’s t-test for three separate experiments, ***P < 0.001. (D) Western blot analysis was performed to determine the expression of apoptosis regulatory proteins including p53, p21, and C-Caspase 3. GAPDH levels were shown as loading control.
