Ferroptosis-armed dendritic cell vaccines for glioma immunotherapy

Ferroptosis is a form of programmed immunogenic cell death (ICD) that has gained increasing attention in cancer immunotherapy. In this study, we present dendritic cell vaccines loaded with ferroptotic tumor lysates to enhance antitumoral immune response in glioma models.

Cardiovascular and pharmacological implications of haem-deficient NO-unresponsive soluble guanylate cyclase knock-in mice

Haem-free, NO-insensitive soluble guanylate cyclase (apo-sGC) generated during oxidative stress contributes to cardiovascular pathology. By generating and characterizing apo-sGC knock-in mice, Thoonen et al. provide a scientific ground for the therapeutic concept of sGC activators, and dissect the relevance of the NO-sGC axis.

Tislelizumab plus zanubrutinib for Richter transformation: the phase 2 RT1 trial

In a large single-arm phase 2 trial, the anti-PD-1 inhibitor tislelizumab combined with the next-generation BTK inhibitor zanubrutinib had an overall response rate of 58.3% and was well tolerated in patients with Richter’s transformation.

Transcriptomic profiles and 5-year results from the randomized CLL14 study of venetoclax plus obinutuzumab versus chlorambucil plus obinutuzumab in chronic lymphocytic leukemia

The CLL14 study (NCT02242942) explored the activity of obinutuzumab (anti-CD20) plus venetoclax (Bcl2 inhibitor) versus obinutuzumab plus chlorambucil in patients with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Here the authors report the 5-year long-term results of the clinical trial and transcriptional profiles associated with response to therapies.
