Ultrasound-facilitated formalin fixation improved immunohistochemistry sensitivity. Immunohistochemistry intensity on 15-min ultrasound-fixed lung tissue with anticytokeratin antibody dilution of 1:20 000 is similar to that of conventional 16- to 18-h fixed tissue with antibody at 1:400 dilution.
