  1. a30% of patients had either previous or synchronous (contra- or ipsilateral) breast carcinoma. A total of 20% of all patients had a history of contralateral carcinoma (previous or synchronous). In patients with LN with subsequent excisions, 38% (33/87) had a history of previous or synchronous carcinoma, vs 26% (50/190) of those without excisions.
  2. bOne patient had both a history of, and a synchronous ipsilateral carcinoma.
