The analysis is mainly based on a search of the Web of Science with the keywords 'TITLE: (tandem AND (organic OR polymer) AND (solar cell or photovoltaic)) AND YEAR PUBLISHED: (2009–2014)'. Review papers and papers where the tandem organic solar cell efficiency characterization is not in the focus of the work as well as papers only showing simulation results are not included.
