Examples of nuclear receptors involved in regulating metabolic pathways. Cellular metabolic pathways provide the energy and materials essential for cell survival. Nuclear receptors transcriptionally regulate genes that encode nutrient transporters and metabolic enzymes involved in these processes. The pathways include the following: 1. Glycolysis, 2.
