From: Generation of perthiyl radicals for the synthesis of unsymmetric disulfides
Reaction conditions: alkyl bromides (0.2 mmol, 1.0 equiv), α, β-unsaturated esters (0.5 mmol, 2.5 equiv), SO2 (0.5 mmol, 2.5 equiv), PhSiH3 (0.64 mmol, 3.2 equiv), HCOOLi (0.6 mmol, 3.0 equiv), DMSO (1.0 mL) and NMP (1.0 mL), at 40 °C for 9 h under argon atmosphere. Isolated yields were reported. std. cond. = standard conditions.
