ATP concentration dependencies were measured at 6 pN. Superscripts (1) and (10) denote values at 1 and 10 mM ATP, respectively. Error values represent s.e. Sample sizes (N): Tension dependencies without mtSSB: WT N = 45; ΔZBD N = 32; ΔC-tail N = 27. Tension dependencies with mtSSB: WT N = 57; ΔZBD N = 29; ΔC-tail N = 18.
