Spermine levels are markedly elevated in the plasma of pancreatic cancer patients and correlate with poor prognosis. In tumor cells, Serpinb9 directly interacts with spermine synthase to hinder its lysosomal degradation, thereby augmenting the biosynthesis of spermine.
