From: Recombination of localized quasiparticles in disordered superconductors
Quasiparticle relaxation time (a) and the variance (b) are obtained the same way as in Fig. 2, but from the fluctuations of the dissipative part of the complex conductivity, δσ1. Error bars indicating statistical fit errors are smaller than the data points. The quasiparticle signal in σ1 is a few times lower than in σ238, which results in a smaller usable temperature range. For the substrate resonator, we did not observe any Lorentzian signatures in the PSDs of σ1.
