WT is the A. thaliana Col-0 accession, 35S:AtSMPED1/2 and 35S:AmSMPED1 are the transgenic A. thaliana plants that overexpress AtSMPED1/2 or AmSMPED1, respectively, and ami-AtSMPED1/2 is a transgenic line in which AtSMPED1 and AtSMPED2 expression levels are knocked down by artificial microRNAs. The scale bar is 1 cm. b, Leaf number on the twenty-first day and bolting rates on the twenty-eighth day. There was no significant difference between WT and transgenic plants in their vegetative traits. The data are presented as the mean ± SEM and the whiskers extend to minima and maxima.
