  1. For example, one may have a k–SAT problem defined by m clauses of length k, operating on a register of n qubits. The qth literal in the ith clause will be notated \({x}_{{i}_{q}}\). The cycle number c is only relevant for time–discrete realizations, and is replaced by the time t in the continuum case.
