Schedules on the left denote the probability threshold (OETs) for different simulated conditions. 0, 15, and 30 denote spacing in terms of trials (0 being massed). Text on bottom axis shows which simulations fixed trial duration or allowed them to be determined by the latency model (i.e., correct trials being faster than incorrect). Drop1 denotes a heuristic in which items were dropped from practice after successful retrieval, until all items were retrieved and the process restarted. Error bars denote +/−1 SEM.
