Both biological (n = 2) and technical (n = 4) replicates were considered, corresponding error bars are shown in black. Temperature had no significant influence on biofilm cell densities (p = 0.727, Kruskal-Wallis test). B Relative abundances of the 18 most abundant families of the biofilm in each loop at day 0, 14, 70, 91, 116 and 137. The data from day 0 and 14 represent single biological replicates, while the data from the other days correspond to two biological replicates each. The order of treated ground- and surface water is indicated using green and blue, respectively. Temperature had no significant influence on the biofilm community (p = 0.667, PERMANOVA).
