From: Long-distance seasonal migration to the tropics promotes genetic diversity but not gene flow in boreal birds

  1. Methods 1 and 2 rely on low-coverage population genomic data, while methods 3 and 4 use higher coverage genomes from single representatives per species. All four resulting parameters display highly consistent interspecific variation, such that all four parameters also correlate strongly and significantly with migration distance across species (see Results and discussion). The congruence of these results suggests that they are not being driven by caveats particular to each estimation method.
