Models of Pfs48/45 derived from the Pfs48/45-:10D8 cocrystal structure (PDB ID: 7ZXF) (a), the Pfs48/45-scTB31F:RUPA-44:RUPA-58:RUPA-154 complex (b), and the Pfs48/45-scTB31F:RUPA-44:RUPA-58 complex (c) are depicted with surface color indicating electrostatic potential ranging from −5kT/e (red) to +5kT/e (blue). In general, D3 possesses an electronegative surface potential, while D1 and D2 possess a mixed electronegative and electropositive surface.
