MAX: Maximum biological response to low La concentrations, which is commonly below 150% of control response. NOAEL: No-observed-adverse-effect-level. The MAX:NOAEL distance is often below fivefold, with a geometric mean of 4.5-fold. The model is based on experimental data previously analyzed18,20,54.
