Secretion of inflammatory cytokines upon in vitro stimulation test. Secretion of IL-1β, IL-18 and caspase-1 differentiates between patients with CAPS, sJIA and healthy controls. IL-1β, IL-18 and caspase-1 secretion were measured in the supernatant of PBMCs isolated from patients with CAPS, sJIA and control donors with medium only and 1 and 4 h after A) LPS stimulation, and B) LPS-primed ATP stimulation regimen.
