Differential impact of antibiotics pre-treatment on bacterial transduction efficiency. Comparison of the number of S. aureus JE2 pMARGk2b-Himar1/pFA545 transductants obtained using SN transduction medium, following cultures pre-treatment with chloramphenicol, fosfomycin, or tunicamycin. The highest yield of transductants was obtained after chloramphenicol pre-treatment. The statistical significance of these differences was determined using one-way ANOVA, followed by Tukey’s multiple comparisons test. The three asterisks ‘***’ corresponds to an adjusted p-value < 0.001.
