PA intensity categories were constructed using METS cutoffs from the actigraphy activity counts data (cutoffs derived in Lee and Tse36. A bout of prolonged sitting was defined as ≥ 30 consecutive minutes within the sedentary METS classification (see Bellettiere et al.38), while a bout of planned PA was defined as ≥ 10 consecutive minutes of moderate or vigorous METS activity39. Results are similar if using actigraphy measured average nightly sleep instead of a binary SR indicator variable.
