A Before complete withdrawal of the TAVI delivery system, an appropriate sized balloon for PTA is placed in the external iliac artery, upstream of the main access site, over the 0.018” protection wire. B When TAVI sheath is retracted, the balloon is inflated to assure complete hemostasis during sheath removal. C The main arterial access is closed using the pre-implanted ProGlide, the balloon is deflated, and, if sufficient hemostasis is achieved, a final angiogram is performed to confirm the absence of vascular complications.
