The number of articles with same author and data origin was normalized by the overall medical research output for each country, approximated by the number of citable documents in the field of medicine from 2018 to 2022, as indexed in SJR. Countries among the top-20 in research output assigned to at least one article are shown individually. All remaining countries were categorized as “other”.
