In the version of the article initially published, in the “Myeloid cells signal FBs via the EGF and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) pathways” section, the sentence “GO enrichment analysis revealed enrichment of ‘response to fibroblast growth factor’ and ‘myeloid leukocyte differentiation’ (biological processes) in FB.1…” should have read “GO enrichment analysis revealed enrichment of ‘response to fibroblast growth factor’ and ‘myeloid leukocyte differentiation’ (biological processes) in FB.2…” and has now been corrected. Additionally, an earlier, incorrect version of Table 1 was originally published. It has now been replaced with the correct Table 1 and the original is available for comparison in the Supplementary information accompanying this amendment. These corrections have been made to the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
