The quantum LC circuit, playing the role of the QB, is coupled to a dissipative environment (black box). Within the Caldeira-Leggett model the latter, characterized by an admittance Y(ω), is described in terms of an infinite set of LC oscillators in parallel, with properly distributed parameters Lk and Ck. Here, V and Vk denote the (generally time dependent) voltages associated to the corresponding nodes.
