Droplets of phase 2 are nucleated in phase 3 (orange arrowheads) and droplets of phase 3 are nucleated in phase 2 (yellow arrowheads). e,f Nucleated droplets of phase 2 (P2inP3) have similar fluorescent intensities to that of the rest of phase 2 (P2) and nucleated droplets of phase 3 (P3inP2) have similar fluorescent intensities and thus composition to that of the bulk of phase 3 (P3).
