  1. All values (excluding the percentage of women) are mean values ± standard deviation. The values for the control group are taken from ref. 19 and reflect all measured patients in the study, whereas column two is built over all stenosis patients with at least two measurements, and the last column comprises the patients with double-sided stenoses that we consider in this article. Moreover, the value for the heart rate of one patient with double-sided stenoses is missing in the study protocol. Thus, the values for heart rate of all stenoses and all double-sided stenoses reflect only 21 and 15 patients, respectively.
