Response to ‘History of cervical spine surgery: from nihilism to advanced reconstructive surgery’

We are very grateful to Dr Silver¹ for providing additional information and perspectives to our manuscript² on the history of cervical spine surgery. Indeed, attempting to summarize over 2 millennia of development within the context of a few pages requires making choices and is almost a guarantee for the so called ‘errors of omission’. The comments given by Dr Silver provide additional insight and we thank him for also correcting minor inaccuracies.
