Submission status

Cognitive impairment is prevalent across the PD trajectory from PD-MCI to dementia and is now even defined with standardized Movement Disorder Society (MDS) criteria for more rigorous phenotyping and trial design. We particularly request mechanistic and biomarker-driven studies that clarify how neural systems support (or fail to support) cognitive abilities, including studies leveraging multimodal neuroimaging, genetics, or computational modeling.
The focus of the issue will be:
Translational work quantifying cognitive outcomes and test therapeutic strategies
Neuromodulatory approaches for therapeutic strategies and its impact on Cognition
Digital/closed-loop approaches alongside innovative digital biomarkers from wearables and smartphones for real-world assessment of cognition.
Methodological advancement in clinical and or behavioral assessments of cognitive functions
