Control of spin currents by magnon interference in a canted antiferromagnet

Controlling the propagation of spin currents with opposite polarities in antiferromagnets has remained challenging. Now the frequency of coherently excited spin waves in a haematite-based device is shown to control the sign of the spin current.

Deterministic switching of antiferromagnetic spin textures by nonlinear magnons

Spin-waves have a variety of advantages for information processing, and here, Chen, Xu and coauthors demonstrate the deterministic switching of antiferromagnetic spin textures using non-linear spin-waves. The switching process is progressive, mirroring weighted sum operations in neuromorphic computing.

Xiang Bai and colleagues present a privacy-preserving AI framework for CT-based COVID-19 diagnosis and demonstrate it on data from 23 hospitals in China and the United Kingdom.

A covalent molecular design enabling efficient CO₂ reduction in strong acids

Selective electrochemical CO₂ reduction (CO₂RR) in strong acids remains challenging due to competition with the hydrogen evolution reaction. Current-controlled propagation of spin waves in antiparallel, coupled domains

Current pulses of 10⁵ A cm⁻² can control the orientation of 100-nm-wide stripe domains in La_0.67Sr_0.33MnO₃ and spin waves of 10 GHz can propagate along these domains with a group velocity of 2.6 km s⁻¹.
