Clinical diagnosis of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders is complex and requires evaluation by a qualified physician. Here, Yan et al. develop a hydrogel electronic sensor to detect TMJ movement, able to accurately detect and classify disc displacement with reduction, a common TMJ disorder.
