Airway immune profiles and therapeutic implications of IGF1 in eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis

There are similarities in airway inflammatory endotype between eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) and type 2 eosinophilic asthma. Here, the authors perform single-cell transcriptomics to compare EGPA with severe eosinophilic asthma and find differences in the innate immune cell populations and use mouse models to characterise the function and phenotype of these cells.

Refrigeration down to 0.16 K using a frustrated magnet Gd₂B₂MoO₉

Ultra-low-temperature magnetic refrigeration is strongly dependent on the performances of refrigerants. Here the authors provide a frustrated magnet Gd₂B₂MoO₉ with excellent magnetocaloric performances and a minimum temperature of 0.16 K is achieved.

FGF4-FGFR1 signaling promotes podocyte survival and glomerular function to ameliorate diabetic kidney disease in male mice

Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are involved in renal pathophysiology. Here the authors use genetic models to show that podocyte FGF4 is protective of diabetic kidney disease progression, and that treatment with recombinant FGF4 reduced renal injury and fibrosis in diabetic mouse models.

In organic photovoltaics, non-fullerene acceptors relax matching rules and allow for the development of new donor polymers. Here, Bin et al. design a donor polymer and obtain high photoconversion efficiencies despite the low energy offset for hole transfer between the acceptor and the donor.
