In moiré superlattices of rhombohedral trilayer graphene aligned on boron nitride, heating may counterintuitively promote spin–valley polarization, transforming metallic ground states into insulators at high temperatures, which deepens the understanding of isospin flavor polarization in correlated electronic systems.
