A generalized Landau-Zener formula shows that the Berry connection difference of the Bloch wavefunctions across the band gap dominates nonreciprocal tunnelling probability. Here, the authors conduct a theoretical study of Landau-Zener tunnelling in systems without inversion symmetry.
