Revealing 3D microanatomical structures of unlabeled thick cancer tissues using holotomography and virtual H&E staining

Acquiring subcellular-level three-dimensional (3D) tissue structures efficiently without damaging the tissue remains challenging in histopathology. Development of a SFTSV DNA vaccine that confers complete protection against lethal infection in ferrets

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV) is an emerging tick-borne virus with no specific treatment or vaccine available. Here, Kim et al. characterize SARS-CoV-2 infection in juvenile, young, and old aged ferrets to provide a further understanding of differences in COVID-19 severity in humans at different ages. Aged ferrets have higher viral loads, shed virus longer, and mimic the transcriptomic profile of severely infected patients.
