Effects of biomaterials crystallinity on immune response is poorly understood. Here the authors show that the degree of crystallinity determines adjuvant-like effects of covalent organic framework (COF) biomaterial, with lower crystallinity correlating with better anti-tumour effects in multiple mouse tumour models.
