The Complexity of the K-β′ Line of X-Ray Spectra

Abstract

RECENT measurements of the X-ray spectrum line K-β′, and the separation of this line from the K1 line, make it remarkable that their separation had not been attained in the course of earlier measurements (M. Siegbahn, V. Dolejs̆ek, Zeit. f. Phys., 10, 159; 1922), especially in the case of elements of low atomic number, where the difference between K-β′ and K1 is about 6 X.U.
