Reduction of -Phenyl--Methylallylalcohol with Deuterium

Abstract

AN attempt to prepare a compound containing an asymmetric carbon atom of the form in an optically active state has been based upon the experiment of Kenyon and Partridge previously published1, in which an asymmetric synthesis is achieved by means of the following series of reactions:
