Fauna and Flora of the Inner and Outer Hebrides King's College (University of Durham) Biological Expeditions

Abstract

SO long ago as 1934, the idea of exploring the Hebrides with the view of writing a comprehensive Flora of the Inner and Outer Isles was conceived by the Department of Botany, King's College, University of Durham, and with it, as a corollary, the notion of studying the evolution of local races in the same area. At the same time, too, the whole of the plans necessary for bringing our project to a successful conclusion were formulated.
