Abstract
THIS first volume is by one of the greatest exponents of the art of obstetrics and gynaecology and is the most valuable contribution yet published on the subject. Mahfouz has a world-wide repumtion for his work and for his great surgical skill. The illustrations in colour and in black-and-white are reproduced from the authors museum specimens, who personally supervised in their preparation. The text is in English ; but explanatory notes of the illustrations are in seven languages.
