Abstract
A TWO-STAGE mechanism in carcinogenesis in the skin of the mouse was described by Berenblum1 and termed initiation and promotion. Added evidence for this mechanism has been supplied by Salaman and Roe2 for mouse skin, by Jull3 for mouse breast, and by Peirce4 for mouse fore-stomach.
