Ratio Adenosine Triphosphate/Adenosine Diphosphate in Platelet-rich Plasma in Hæmorrhagic Disorders (Von Willebrand and Glanzmann Disease)

Abstract

ADENOSINE triphosphate (ATP) is found in large amounts in blood platelets1 and disappears rapidly during clotting2 while ADP increases; this nucleotide is able to aggregate platelets3–6. ATP and AMP act as inhibitors in this reaction7,8.
