Abstract
THE negative staining technique for the study of cells and cellular components by electron microscopy has been described by Almeida and Howatson1. A similar method has been applied to study the morphology of the Moloney leukaemia virus in megakaryocytes in experimentally infected mice2. Recently, virus-like particles have been described in the plasma of many leukaemic humans examined by a negative-staining technique3–6. This report describes the application of a similar technique to leucocytes of normal human beings.
