Kinetics of Myofilament Activation in Potentiated Contraction: Staircase Phenomenon in Human Skeletal Muscle

Abstract

Staircase potentiation in skeletal muscle depends on an intensification of the twitch “active state” early in the contraction cycle. A working hypothesis of this is proposed.
